Integration & Healing: Faith & Work Lunch
Our first Faith & Work lunch of the year took place on September 18th to an overflowing living room at the Bonhoeffer House with TH friends and UVA parents, Elizabeth & Evans Rice, in conversation with their daughters Katie (‘27) and Charlotte (‘29) about their faith and vocational journeys, especially as they relate to their more recent interest and work in family systems and healing.
Elizabeth Rice holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. She has received extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) that informs much of her work with couples and families harnessing the power of attachment, emotional safety, and connection to create lasting change. She also draws on Internal Family Systems and Storywork.
Evans Rice is a lawyer with Hogan Lovells Cadwalader where he focuses on white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and corporate compliance. Prior to that, Evans served as a federal prosecutor with the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia prosecuting official misconduct and human trafficking cases.
Elizabeth and Evans live in Falls Church and are parents to four young adults.
